In Lebanon, people with disabilities face numerous challenges, particularly when it comes to exercising their basic rights, such as voting. For 30 years, the LUPD has been advocating for necessary changes in the electoral process to enable individuals with disabilities to vote with dignity.
For this campaign, we were determined to highlight the essential change required, which is opening the ground floor of election spaces for people with disabilities. We brought together two incredible women: Christelle, an actress who uses a wheelchair, and Nayla, a sign language interpreter. The chosen style for this campaign is combined with 2D drawings. Why drawings? We aimed to highlight the presence of the two women without any distracting elements, while also illustrating to government officials and decision-makers the necessary elements needed for the ground floor to be fully equipped.
